At this moment, Jiang Huai couldn’t care less about Feng Yun’s feelings. He felt blood rising up in his throat and his legs started trembling. Suppressing the panic within him, he looked at Feng Yun and demanded, “When did this happen?”
Feng Yun replied truthfully, “On Ruoruo’s eighteenth birthday. I noticed she seemed beside herself, so I asked A’Zhou, and he admitted it, but it was just his one-sided feelings…”
Jiang Huai stepped forward without warning and grabbed Feng Yun by the chin, his eyes flaming with anger, “It’s been six months, and you’re telling me just now, what are your intentions?”
Feng Yun gave a bitter smile, “How many times have you come home in the past six months?”
Jiang Huai pushed Feng Yun away and hastily left the room.
Feng Yun was pushed to the ground. Her knee hit the foot of the bed, and she couldn’t stand up for a moment. She sat on the floor, clutching her knee, unable to recover.
In just three short years, could a person’s character really change so drastically? Or had she never really known the real Jiang Huai?
Feng Yun knew Jiang Huai was going to find A’Zhou, and she knew there would be a confrontation between father and son. Thinking of Jiang Huai’s volatile temperament, Feng Yun finally managed to stand up despite the pain and limped toward her son’s room.
…
After leaving the master bedroom, Jiang Huai stormed to Jiang Zhou’s room and began banging on the door with all his might.
Jiang Zhou didn’t come to the door right away, but Jiang Ruo, awakened by the banging next door, sleepily came out in her pajamas to open the door. Seeing her father furiously pounding on her brother’s door, she was instantly wide awake. “Dad… what’s going on?” She cautiously asked.
Jiang Huai turned around, saw his daughter’s bewildered look, and finally stopped banging on the door. He spoke sternly, “Go back to your room and sleep. You’re not allowed out tonight.”
Seeing his clearly upset demeanor, Jiang Ruo timidly asked, “Dad… did Brother make you angry?”
Jiang Huai lost his patience, “Go back to your room. I don’t want to repeat myself!”
Jiang Huai’s expression was so terrifying that Jiang Ruo was at a loss, retreating back to her room and slowly closing the door. She then pressed her ear against it, trying to catch any noise from outside.
After Jiang Ruo returned to the room, Jiang Zhou finally opened the door, dressed in his pajamas, his face slightly flushed as if he had just exercised vigorously.
Jiang Huai pushed him into the room, following closely behind. The moment he walked into the room, he smelled a strange odor permeating Jiang Zhou’s bedroom. A man himself, Jiang Huai immediately recognized this particular odor, especially when he saw a pile of tissues in the trash bin under Jiang Zhou’s bed and the photo frame with Jiang Ruo’s portrait on the bed. He was so furious he could barely speak, and he almost couldn’t catch his breath.
Jiang Zhou didn’t know why Jiang Huai had come to bang on his door late at night, but seeing his father’s furious expression, he didn’t dare to ask more. It wasn’t until Jiang Huai suddenly turned around and fiercely slapped him across the face, causing his mouth to bleed, that Jiang Zhou instinctively cried out, “Dad…”
“Don’t call me dad, I don’t have a son like you, a bastard who is even more terrible than a beast,” Jiang Huai gasped for air, his face extremely fierce.
Seeing him like this, Jiang Zhou was even more afraid to speak. Jiang Huai sat on Jiang Zhou’s bed, his expression dark, and commanded, “Kneel down.”
Jiang Zhou didn’t know what he had done wrong, but he quickly knelt in front of Jiang Huai.
After a long silence, Jiang Huai finally said, “Ruoruo is your sister, you don’t need me to remind you of that, do you?”
Hearing this, Jiang Zhou finally understood why his father was so furious. At that moment, the sweet smile of Jiang Ruo appeared in his mind. She had told him just that day that after the college entrance exams, she would give him an answer, which made his heart flutter with excitement and expectations.
He knew Ruoruo—that sweet girl she wouldn’t want to hurt him. Since she promised an answer, it meant she had feelings for him too. Maybe she was still conflicted for now, but sooner or later, she would accept him eventually.
Facing Jiang Huai’s interrogation, Jiang Zhou chose to look him in the eyes, “Ruoruo and I are not related by blood, Jiang Li is my real sister.”
Jiang Huai’s chest heaved, and he kicked Jiang Zhou to the ground, “You bastard! Ruoruo is your sister! You have the nerve to do such a beastly act on her! And Ruoruo is barely an adult—where did your morals and conscience go? Have you fed them to dogs, huh?!”
In his fury, Jiang Huai delivered a few more kicks at Jiang Zhou, causing Jiang Zhou to emit painful groans. Knowing that he couldn’t anger his father further, Jiang Zhou could only try to dodge and explain, “I didn’t do anything! I swear, I never touch Ruoruo. She hasn’t accepted my confession yet—nothing happened between us.”
Hearing Jiang Zhou’s explanation, Jiang Huai finally stopped the assault, although his expression was still very grim, but somewhat better than before. At that moment, Jiang Huai felt relieved that he caught Jiang Zhou’s intentions before anything irreversible happened to Ruoruo.
Finally calming down a bit, he looked at his son, “You better extinguish any improper thoughts about Ruoruo, I will never agree to you two being together.”
“Why not?” Jiang Zhou looked at Jiang Huai with a pained expression.
There was a gloom in Jiang Huai’s gaze, “I said I don’t agree, and that’s final. There’s no why.”
Jiang Zhou couldn’t understand and tried to persuade his father, “I truly love Ruoruo, I…”
Jiang Huai grabbed the alarm clock from the bedside table and threw it at Jiang Zhou, who didn’t attempt to dodge it, letting the clock hit him on the head.
Jiang Zhou remained kneeling rigidly on the hard floor, looking up at Jiang Huai with unyielding stubbornness, “Dad, I really like Ruoruo, I don’t want anyone else but her.”
Jiang Zhou showed no signs of backing down. Before Jiang Huai could respond, he continued, “When you and mom fell in love, so many people were against it, but you still ended up together. You should be able to understand me.”
Jiang Huai kicked him again, “Understand your fart! After Ruoruo’s exams, I’ll have her go on blind dates. Don’t even think about anything between you two!” His previous mention of matchmaking Ruoruo was just to force the truth out of Feng Yun, but now he was seriously considering going forward with this plan.
Ruoruo could date and marry anyone, but it could never be A’Zhou!
Jiang Zhou looked directly into Jiang Huai’s eyes. “Ruoruo is not a tool to advance your career. She’s the woman I love, and I won’t let you control her life. You might stop me temporarily, but you can’t stop me forever…”
Before Jiang Zhou could finish, Jiang Huai fainted right there, falling rigidly onto Jiang Zhou’s bed, completely unconscious.

Holy shit macaroni this is GOING PLACES [eats popcorn]
I’m surprised he didn’t tell the truth about them being biological siblings. Same dad, different mom.
He’s already failing at life! Cant add a divorce into the mix!
He’s already failing! Doesn’t wanna add a divorce on top of everything.
I’m just so grossed out about this whole chapter. You are so strong for translating all of this and without quitting out of disgust. I think Jiang Ruo is his blood sister, I also think she was gonna reject his feelings after her entrance exams. Which I really hope she does cause I want him to be crushed and destroyed by his obsession.
Hm. Jiang Zhou, the obsessive villain? Has a nice ring to it, don’t it?😉😏
Gosh all of them except Ruo feels very disgusting to me . Atleast for now Jiang Ruo has changed pretty well but the mom the dad and that beast like pig brother all of them are disgusting.
