ATCF Ch 30 Part 2 – He is Tong Leifeng (II)

“Including scheming against his own sister?” This sentence slipped out of Qin Zheng’s mouth. In fact, he regretted saying it as soon as it came out, but there was no way to take it back.

Jiang Ruo’s face turned pale instantly. “What… what do you mean?”

Qin Zheng shook his head. “Nothing, I just said it casually.”

“You didn’t!” Jiang Ruo’s tone was firm. “Do you think I made my brother target Jiang Li?”

“I didn’t say that,” Qin Zheng argued.

Jiang Ruo didn’t buy into his words at all. “But that’s what you think. You believe that I have malicious intentions, not only occupying Jiang Li’s position but also inciting my brother to target her.”

She suddenly became so sharp, making Qin Zheng feel powerless. “I really don’t think that way. I just feel that Jiang Zhou shouldn’t target Jiang Li like that. After all, she is his own sister. But for you, he…”

Jiang Ruo interrupted him, “Just leave. I don’t want to see you anymore.”

Qin Zheng frowned, “Ruoruo, why are you being so unreasonable?”

“Then… then go find someone who isn’t being unreasonable.” Jiang Ruo’s words clearly lacked conviction.

Her father had specifically advised her yesterday to improve her relationship with Qin Zheng. He had even mentioned that she and Qin Zheng had grown up together, and even if Qin Zheng currently harbored some resentment, it would pass after some time.

However, she had never actively tried to please others before. In the past, Qin Zheng would always come to her on his own, and she just had to wait and accept. So now she had no idea how to approach the situation.

Qin Zheng started to grow irritable and finally couldn’t hold back, saying, “Are you telling me to find someone else because you want to go to Jiang Zhou?”

The moment these words left his mouth, the atmosphere immediately frozen.

Jiang Ruo looked at Qin Zheng in disbelief, “How… How could you think like that? He’s my brother!”

Qin Zheng’s tone turned harsh, “You two have no blood relation, he’s not your actual brother.”

Jiang Ruo couldn’t comprehend his thoughts, “Even if we’re not blood-related, he will always be my brother. Are you telling me that I’m a thief who stole Jiang Li’s brother?”

“You know that’s not what I meant,” Qin Zheng retorted immediately.

Jiang Ruo’s eyes turned red. “I don’t care what you mean. I don’t want to hear you speak right now, and my brother doesn’t need you to visit. Just leave!”

After saying these words, Jiang Ruo didn’t stop. She turned around and ran back to the hospital room, closing the door behind her.

Qin Zheng stood still for a moment, feeling dazed. In the end, he left the hospital. His emotions were unstable at the moment, and if he went to find Ruoruo again, another argument would surely occur.

It would be better to go back first, give both of them time to calm down, and then apologize to her.

After returning to the hospital room, Jiang Ruo’s reddened eyes caught Jiang Zhou’s attention. He immediately frowned and asked, “Did that guy bully you?”

Jiang Ruo quickly shook her head, “No, it’s nothing. He just… misunderstood.”

“Misunderstood?” Jiang Zhou was puzzled.

Jiang Ruo nodded, “He… He was just being unreasonable, saying that we have no blood relation, but… you are my brother!”

Jiang Zhou sneered, “I told you, the reason he didn’t come to see you the other day was because he cared about your background. You didn’t believe me.”

“No.” Jiang Ruo explained, “He didn’t care about my background. He felt that our relationship was too close, and he got jealous.”

Jiang Ruo never hid her thoughts from Jiang Zhou, so she immediately spilled the beans about what had just happened, explaining in details.

When Qin Zheng said those words just now, she felt he was being unreasonable, which made her angry. But as she retold what Qin Zheng said to her brother, her anger gradually subsided, and she even found it quite amusing.

In her view, Qin Zheng had always been full of self-confidence, so she never expected him to be jealous because of her brother.

Did this mean that he actually cares a lot about her?

Jiang Ruo chattered on, only to realize that Jiang Zhou had been silent the whole time. She looked over and noticed her brother’s vacant gaze, clearly lost in thought.

Jiang Ruo immediately pouted and complained, “Brother, did you not hear me?”

Jiang Zhou was clearly taken aback, and it took him a while to react before muttering, “Then… why don’t you break up with Qin Zheng!”

Jiang Ruo’s cheeks turned crimson. “Brother, what are you talking about! I… I and Qin Zheng never date or something. It was just a joke between Dad and Uncle Qin. Qin Zheng, he… he never confessed to me.”

Seeing her reaction, Jiang Zhou’s eyes darkened visibly, but he soon restrained his emotion and said, “I want to eat oranges. Keep feeding me, okay?”

Jiang Ruo nodded, “No problem, I am brother’s personal nurse now.”

When Feng Yun returned and pushed open the door of the hospital room, she was greeted by the harmonious scene of her son and adopted daughter getting along very well.

Jiang Ruo’s eyes lit up when she saw her, “Mom, you’re back!”

Jiang Zhou looked at her expectantly, “Mom, have you seen Grandpa?”

Feng Yun shook her head and replied, “I haven’t seen your Grandpa, but I saw your third uncle, and he… declined.”

Hearing this, Jiang Ruo slightly felt disappointed, but quickly regained her spirit and said, “It’s okay, Mom. Actually, I have long accepted the reality that even if everyone knows I’m not your biological daughter, I don’t mind anymore because it truly belongs to Jiang Li.”

Seeing Jiang Ruo being so sensible, Feng Yun was moved. She gently rubbed the girl’s head and let out a sigh in silence.

In fact, the biggest problem now was not whether Ruoruo could accept her background being revealed, but rather, after the Feng family sent out those invitations, the Jiang family’s business fell into crisis.

The attitudes of several business partners suddenly became uncertain, and contracts that were almost finalized suddenly fell through.

Although Feng Yun never interfered in the affairs of the company, Jiang Huai would occasionally complain to her. In such times, she usually only needed to play the role of a comforting wife, consoling her husband with gentle words.

But this time, no matter how much she tried to comfort him, it was of no use.

Many people now thought that the Jiang family had lost their senses and were unwilling to cooperate with them.

Lying on the sickbed, Jiang Zhou clenched his fist silently. If it weren’t for Jiang Li’s sake, that bastard Tong Yi would never have laid a hand on him. But now, he had to take the initiative to apologize to Jiang Li.

Apart from that, he couldn’t think of any other solutions for now.

I hope JR is JZ’s half-sister, because it’s clear he entertains inappropriate thoughts about her. And just might make her want nothing to do with him. Then we’ll see how much of a filthy and sick b*st*rd he really is. *cackles*

I’m sorry to hear that you’re unwell, get as much rest as your body needs, drink plenty of fluids, and take care!????

  2. Hmmm the day when Jiang Zhou finds out Jiang Ruo is his half-sister. I already have a slight feeling that he’s beginning to gain some romantic feelings towards Jiang Ruo now. That being said……even if he does apologize to Jiang Li it doesn’t mean she’ll agree. So naive of him to believe that with just a simple apology she will forgive and forget and let that Jiang Ruo still be part of the Feng family and have glory.

  3. Im sensing the beginning of Incestual Little Black Room vibes from Jiang Zhou
I wonder if Rou finds out his feelings if it really will become a little black room play or not
